Whitehall, PA, May 14, 2026 — BitMar Networks announced, today, that: it has initiated a legal offensive against NAB Show Streaming Summit Chairman, Dan Rayburn, over what BitMar deems a malicious defamation act on behalf of Mr. Rayburn. BitMar alleges that Mr. Rayburn purposefully misrepresented the BitMar product, to harm its brand and streaming platform: https://BitMar.com/.
BitMar Overview:
As per its official description... BitMar provides an alternative to traditional streaming services. This comprehensive, all-media-in-one streaming content finder connects you to millions of on-demand movies, television shows, channels, videos, and songs, which the platform intelligently filters from many different sources across the Web. The platform also provides access to more than 200,000 local, national, and international on-demand channels. Furthermore, the use of BitMar does not require any additional paid streaming memberships.
To deliver access to so much sustainable content legally, BitMar employs specialized internal algorithms that instantly filter professionally produced, full-length streaming media utilizing a third-party search engine. For a one-time payment of $149.99 USD, you may enjoy all of this content indefinitely on the devices that you already own. You may learn more, about BitMar, at: https://BitMar.com/.
The Events That Transpired, in Chronological Order:
-
05/13/2026: BitMar Founder and C.E.O., Jonathan Rodriguez, reached out to Mr. Rayburn, by email message, with the following message:
"Hello, Dan.
I am the Founder and C.E.O. of BitMar: the all-in-one unlimited streaming platform for life, legally. I think that BitMar would offer significant value to your NAB Show Streaming Summit audience.
I developed BitMar as a solution to the increasing fragmentation of the streaming market. I am trying to help people get rid of their monthly streaming payments; while being able to stream everything, legally.
I would like to grant you a personal lifetime membership to BitMar, at no cost. I hope that you find the platform to be beneficial; and that if you appreciate it, you may choose to inform your audience about BitMar. Most of them are probably stuck; paying multiple, monthly, streaming fees.
You may obtain access to your personal lifetime membership to BitMar, using the details below:

Feel free to contact me if you require further technical details regarding the architecture of the platform. Although, any question could be efficiently answered by our Press F.A.Q.s section, at: https://BitMar.com/press/faqs/.
Thank you, Dan.

05/13/2026: Mr. Rayburn responded, by email message, with the following message:
"Ridiculous. You are trying to charge people $150, for content that is free, while scamming people into thinking, as you say, it 'streams everything.'
As seen in MacWorld!?!?!? Lol. MacWorld was discontinued in 2014.
I should write a post highlighting how poor this service is and warning people not to use it, so it appears in Google search results.
I will make sure to highlight this in a way so people know NOT to use it." -
05/13/2026: Mr. Rayburn wrote the following blog post, at:
https://www.streamingmediablog.com/2026/05/bitmar-review.html
"BitMar Is A Scam, Don't Sign up For It: All Content Can be Found for Free Online"
A company called BitMar, which promises to 'stream everything legally,' is scamming people out of $150 by linking to free YouTube content via Bing search and Pluto TV. The CEO reached out, offering me a 'personal lifetime membership' and hoping I would 'inform my audience' about the service. I'll be happy to inform them. Stay away from BitMar!
While the company doesn't say it streams content from the major OTT platforms, it still uses their name in its marketing, saying: 'BitMar provides easy access to more movies, and TV shows, than: Cable, Satellite, Netflix, Disney Plus, Max/HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Peacock, and Hulu combined, and more songs, than: Pandora, Spotify, Amazon Prime Music, and Apple Music—combined.'
As expected, all of its recent reviews on the Google App Store are 1-star. Google shouldn't allow this type of app in the store; Apple doesn't. The fine print on BitMar's site makes for a good laugh. 'Some content may be internationally restricted. Not all content is free and/or accessible. We have a no-refund policy.'
If you are a consumer reading this post, do not pay for this service.
BitMar Refutes Mr. Rayburn's Claims:
"It is obvious that Mr. Rayburn's actions were not in good faith," declared Mr. Rodriguez. "Even if he [Mr. Rayburn] did not find BitMar to his liking; publicly calling it 'a scam,' is a defamatory action." Rodriguez further elaborated: "Mr. Rayburn reminds me of when John D. Rockefeller attempted to discourage the public from utilizing electricity, by launching public relations campaigns against it. I am very surprised that Mr. Rayburn is allowed to represent such an esteemed organization; such as the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB); in any capacity."
Rodriguez refutes Mr. Rayburn's analogy, as well: "It is like the difference between someone saying, 'Why pay for a filtered water bottle when there is water in the ocean?' and BitMar responding, 'We are selling the filter and the bottle, not the ocean.'"
It is important to highlight that... despite Mr. Rayburn's incorrect claims:
- Macworld is an active Tech news outlet: https://Macworld.com
- While all of the content to which BitMar provides access is freely-available on the Web (on which BitMar is completely transparent)... Mr. Rayburn's incorrect claims undermine BitMar's algorithmic endeavors. In other words: the content is there, but it is everywhere; and not as easily-accessible without BitMar.
- BitMar provides an accurate description of its platform; including technical information regarding the functions of its algorithms, on its website: https://BitMar.com/
- Also... contrary to Mr. Rayburn's incorrect claims, that BitMar is a scam... BitMar provides a free online trial, on its website; which (unlike most other streaming platforms) does not require a credit/debit card; in order to facilitate a no-risk purchase experience to its users.
- BitMar has never tried to publish an app on the Apple App Store. Mr. Rayburn's related claim is misleading.
- Due to its Web-based content nature... BitMar does provide access to more streaming content than the aforementioned streaming providers, combined. Mr. Rayburn may have misunderstood 'more content,' for 'access to the same content catalogs' (access to which BitMar does not provide.)
BitMar Networks' Demands:
"Despite Mr. Rayburn's malicious actions... as a sign of good faith, we, at BitMar, are willing to waive our legal offensive against Mr. Rayburn; under very specific conditions," said Rodriguez.
Given the weight that Mr. Rayburn's public words carry, within the industry; as a result of his position at NAB... BitMar Networks, hereby, officially demands that:
- Mr. Rayburn offers two official public apologies to BitMar Networks: one as a new, stand-alone post on his blog (which he must post on all of his Social Media accounts), and another one under the same blog U.R.L. on which he libeled the BitMar platform (https://www.streamingmediablog.com/2026/05/bitmar-review.html) after removing the defamatory content in question, which he must also remove from every Social Media account on which he posted it (like this one.)
- As a sign of good faith... the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) publishes a public statement; officially denouncing that Mr. Rayburn's erroneous comments, pertaining to BitMar, do not represent its official views... as he represents NAB, to the public at large.
Failure to accommodate this request, within fourteen calendar days (as of the date listed above), shall result in the escalation of this matter into formal legal proceedings.
